Frequently asked questions

What is the benefit of hiring a wedding or event planner?

Planning a wedding or event can be overwhelming, especially if you're trying to just enjoy being engaged or life is busy and you just don't have the time! A wedding/event planner can help you with all the critical parts of producing the special day, including research, budgeting, vendor communication, contract review, coordination and execution. A planner can also provide input and assist with any design elements and assist with executing your vision for your event. In the final months leading up to your special day, a planner's expert coordination skills ensures that every detail -- big or small -- is flawlessly managed. Our goal is to make sure this process for you is stress-free!

If my venue already provides a coordinator, why would I need to hire an outside wedding coordinator or event planner?

A catering or venue manager's job is to manage the details that are directly related to food & beverage and the venue itself. They will work with you on your event, but they are typically not responsible for contacting the other vendors, reviewing your vendor contracts, providing budgeting assistance, or confirming and coordinating all aspects of your event in its entirety. They are responsible for all aspects related to the venue and catering and typically do not stay until the end of your event. A wedding planner or event coordinator will be your advocate and the focus is on you, leading with your vision. They work together with the catering or venue managers with a shared goal to ensure the event runs smoothly. We service the client / couple, the vendors and the venues as a collaborative effort.

Why don't you offer day-of coordination? What is wedding management?

A wedding or event planner cannot efficiently gather details, collaborate with vendors, or ensure seamless execution by only working on the day of your event. The process of planning and coordinating a wedding or event takes time, careful attention, and thorough preparation, including all communication between the planner, vendors, clients, and venues, to bring your vision to life. While 'day-of coordination' was once the standard term, the industry has now transitioned to 'wedding coordination' or 'wedding management,' which typically begins 60-90 days before the event to ensure every detail is handled with care.
